About
Sophia Noel is a contemporary dancer based in New York infusing the best of Hip-Hop, Salsa, Swing, and Ballet movements.
After graduating from Columbia University, she joined the global marketing team at Airbnb while continuing her childhood passion for dance by teaching classes after hours. In 2019, curiosity around the Japanese language sparked the idea to book a one way ticket to Tokyo where she worked as a dancer, model, and actor for 5 years before returning to the United States in 2024.
As well as being a choreographer and performer, she is executive producer of TONARI; a cross cultural, cross generational, storytelling experience connecting Tokyo and San Francisco through contemporary dance, film, and jazz. First launched as a film and live performance, TONARI now continues to inspire the world as a short art film.
